Joshoan Lamourt-Rivera

Joshoan serves as the Director of External Affairs at the Mosholu-Montefiore Community Center (MMCC), where he acts as a core strategic partner to the CEO to drive institutional growth. In this role, he integrates fundraising, public relations, government relations, and community partnerships to elevate MMCC’s visibility and expand its donor and public portfolios. A bilingual professional fluent in English and Spanish, Joshoan leverages nearly two decades of experience in public health and nonprofit administration to enhance the lives of New Yorkers MMCC serves.

His deep-rooted commitment to community service began at MMCC in 2007. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Health & Wellness and a Master of Public Administration from Buffalo State University, he led human services initiatives in Buffalo and spent seven years managing program strategy and quality assurance for a Lower East Side mentoring organization. He returned to MMCC in November 2022, serving as the Director of Operations & Compliance for Workforce Development & Continuing Education—where he institutionalized data-driven systems that earned top-tier funder evaluations—before ascending to his current position.
