Counselor In Training & Application

15.5 year olds interested in future employment at Mosholu Day Camp have a unique opportunity to enroll in our CIT Program (must born before 1/1/18). Under the guidance of a Mosholu Camp Supervisor, our CITs are “in-training” for future job opportunities. Over the course of the summer CITs rotate to different areas, so they learn about the camp in many settings.

The CIT Program Features: Free transportation to and from camp from centralized bus stops, Camp Shirts, Supervisory discussions with constructive feedback, Team-building activities that teach communication, and problem-solving, Confidence and self-esteem built through effort and accomplishment, Job-skill preparation and from interviewing to contributing to team goals.

CIT’s are expected to uphold the high standards of Mosholu Day Camp and must adhere to all employment rules and protocols in order to successfully complete this program.

Interested teens must fill out the below form, arrange an interview and have the maturity necessary to be accepted into this group. With limited spots available, preference is given to those teens whom have attended Mosholu Day Camp during previous summers.

Upon acceptance into the program, all CIT’s must turn in a complete a camp application and a medical form signed and dated by a medical provider with in one year of August 20, 2017. They must attend all pre-camp orientations and are expected to be in attendance at camp from June 29- August 16.

There is no registration fee for this program and CIT’s will not receive any salary as this is purely a training program.
