Universal Pre-KindergartenThe Universal Prekindergarten Program is a free 2.5 hour program in collaboration with the Department of Education. This program prepares the children with the necessary skills needed to enter kindergarten. This educational program provides the children with a comprehensive early childhood experience. Our curriculum promotes cognitive, language, physical, social /emotional, and cultural development. In addition, we offer music and dance classes on a weekly basis as a supplement to the children’s learning. Our classrooms are warm, inviting, child centered and teacher directed. We encourage parent involvement in the classroom as well as on our Parent Advisory Committee which is a great way to be involved in your child’s learning experience. Our UPK program is offered at all four early childhood sites. Classes are held through out the day. A sample schedule follows:
