This program is designed to allow young people the opportunity to gain volunteer hours for school or college, get job training and experience, and work with children to improve their academic performance. Interns are placed at MMCC after-school sites as volunteer tutors and participate in monthly trainings. Interns participating thus far have been placed at the MMCC Discovery After-School Program, P.S 20 and P.S. 94. Other sites are available. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community, share your talents, and gain valuable job experience. For more information, or if you would like to join the internship program, call Liza Perez at (718) 882-4000 x 388 and schedule an interview.
