The Child Development Center, located at the Main Building, 3450 DeKalb Avenue, offers parents a variety of programs for children 1-5 years of age.

Full-time day care classes for children ages 1 - 5 are held in well appointed, supervised classrooms. The day care classes are in session from 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. Parents may choose to enroll their child for extended hours. This service is available from 7:30am-8:00am and 6:00pm-6:30pm for an additional fee.
Day care tuition is determined by the age of your child at enrollment.

UPK classes, which meet for 2 1⁄2 hours, 5 days/week, September - June, offers children who are 3.9 years of age in September, an opportunity to participate in a class where they receive NYS and NYC approved curriculum to prepare for kindergarten.

Head Start classes are available for those children who meet federal eligibility requirements. Child must be three years old at time of enrollment. Three year old children remain here for 3 1⁄2 hours/day, five days/week based on a 12-month calendar. Four year old children have a 6 hour session that includes Head Start services and UPK.

During the week, our children have opportunities to play in our large outdoor play area, as well as in our full size gymnasium. Classes in music, dance, and arts and crafts are available taught by speciality teachers who work with the classroom teachers to plan age appropriate lessons for the children.

• Our curriculum, “The Creative Curriculum”, addresses all areas of early child development: cognitive skills, social skills, language skills, physical skills, and daily living skills. These areas prepare your child for elementary school whether you choose to enroll them in a public, private, or religious school.

• Our trained professional staff works closely with parents to provide each child with an educational opportunity that helps enhance their skills. Our staff includes teachers, assistant teachers, family workers, social workers, consultants- physician, and psychologist.

• Our staff is here to meet with parents and provide informational tours and consultations Monday, 10:00am-6:00pm; Tuesday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

• Our kitchen produces nutritious, tasty meals that are provided to your children while in school, at no extra cost. Our meals are kosher and we make accommodations to meal service based on health and religion.
